I measured an ear and built this to follow it. Not a curve that looks approximately right, but the actual line where the outer edge of an ear turns in on itself, which is why it sits without gripping and stays where you put it.

The form is heavy at the base and tapers as it rises, so it reads as a solid piece of metal that has been moved rather than a wire that has been bent. 48 x 35 mm.

The gold here is plating over solid silver. The form is too heavy for solid gold to make sense at a price anyone would pay, and this is the choice that lets the piece exist at all. Plating wears where the metal meets skin, and on a cuff worn often expect to replate every few years. Plain silver needs nothing and simply darkens, which some people prefer.
