Made to order. Built around the wearer's birthstone.

The first verse of the Shema stands raised from the surface of this band, letter by letter, running the full way around. Not engraved into the metal but built up out of it, which is the harder way to do it and the reason the text catches light from every angle instead of disappearing into shadow.

The band is wide and solid, made to be worn every day rather than kept for occasions. A single sapphire sits set into the surface, the birthstone of the woman this was first made for.

That stone is the part that changes. The band, the text, and the raised letters carry over. The stone is chosen for the person wearing it, and the text can change too if there is something else you want written around your hand.

White gold is rhodium plated over 18K gold, which is what gives it the bright white finish. The plating wears with contact, and on a ring worn daily, expect to replate roughly once a year. Yellow and rose gold need nothing.

A note on the finish: every piece is first polished to a full shine, where any casting pore or imperfection shows. Only when the gold is clean is a matte finish applied, where the design calls for one. Many makers use a matte finish to hide flaws, so I do the opposite. A matte finish is available on request at no extra cost.
