Two interwoven shields form the Star of David, layered so the piece reads as three-dimensional rather than flat. The 3.98 carat star sapphire sits at the center in an oval cabochon, and six diamonds of 0.03 ct each mark the six points, 0.30 ct in total.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eHe asked for an engraving in Rashi script, the Hebrew hand used by scribes for centuries: \"Return to the land of your ancestors and your homeland, and I will be with you.\" It is cut into the metal, not printed, and it will still be there in another two generations.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe stone in the photographs belongs to him.
