A round solitaire is the hardest thing to make interesting. There is nothing to hide behind. So the work went into the band.

It tapers from wide at the shoulders to narrow underneath, and it is not round in section. The two sides are cut at an angle and left brushed, and between them runs a single polished line the whole way around. The brushed faces hold light still. The bright line moves as the hand moves. From across a room it reads as a plain gold band, and up close it is not.

The stone is a 0.70 carat round brilliant, G color, VS1 clarity, with a GIA certificate.
