Shani loves flowers and wanted a ring that was one. Not a flower motif stamped flat into metal, but something with a bud's depth, where the eye has to travel in to reach the center.

So the petals are built in three layers, each set behind the one in front of it. Some are left brushed and some are polished bright, and the alternation is what does the work. A brushed petal holds light on its surface. A polished one throws it. Standing next to each other they read as separate petals rather than one folded sheet of gold, and the flower opens instead of sitting flat.

At the center is a natural ruby, 0.60 carats, standing in for the stamens. It is also Shani's birthstone, which is how it was chosen.

Made to order. The center stone can be your own birthstone, or any colored gemstone you like, and the ring is made in yellow, white or rose gold.

Ordering

The prices shown are for the ring with a ruby of the weight pictured. A different stone changes the number in either direction, and stones are chosen from what is in the studio at the time, so the exact weight varies from ring to ring. Write to us with the month or the stone you have in mind and we will price the ring before anything is made.
