Two arms come around the diamond and close. That is the whole idea. Not a claw holding a stone from above, but an embrace from both sides, the way a marriage is meant to hold a life inside it and keep it safe.

The diamond sits between them with nothing above it and nothing below. Light enters from every direction and leaves through the table. There is a seat cut into each arm so the stone is properly secured, but from the outside you see none of it. You see gold curving, and a diamond suspended in the gap.

0.50 carat natural white diamond, D color, VS clarity. Solid 18K white gold, over 7 mm across at the widest point of the band, carved in wax and cast by hand in our Jerusalem studio.

The stone has not been sent to a laboratory. D and VS are our own assessment at the bench, made by eye and by loupe, and we would rather tell you that than imply a certificate we do not have. Other sizes, a larger or smaller diamond, a colored gemstone, 14K gold, yellow or rose, are all possible and made to order. Write to us and we will price it before anything is made.
