Tavor's mother had a pendant from her own mother. He wanted the diamond out of it and into an engagement ring.

The stone was 0.30 carats, which is not a small diamond, but it is small for the center of a ring on its own. Put it up there by itself and it looks like it is asking to be bigger. He also wanted something delicate and did not want it built up into a halo.

So instead of making the stone look larger, I gave it company. Two diamonds on each side, stepping down as they go out, 0.15 and then 0.07. The line falls away from the center rather than stopping short, and the eye reads the whole span instead of measuring the middle. The ring stays narrow, and the inherited diamond is still clearly the one at the center.

The prices shown include the diamonds. If you are bringing a stone of your own, inherited or taken out of something you no longer wear, the ring is quoted for the work and the remaining stones only. Larger diamonds throughout, or colored gemstones on the sides, are both possible. Write to us with what you have and we will price it before anything is made.
