A 16 mm white pearl carried on a line of gold that loops back on itself and leaves the band open behind the finger. The opening is what makes the ring stack. It sits close against whatever you wear beside it instead of pushing it away.

I carve the form in wax around the pearl itself, then cast it in one piece. The pearl is drilled, a gold pin runs into the hole and is bonded with a dedicated pearl adhesive, so nothing crosses the surface of the pearl and the loop reads as one uninterrupted line.

One face of the gold is given a fine brushed texture and the other is left highly polished. Where the line crosses over itself, the two finishes meet, which is what gives the loop its depth.

The pearl is a white bouton, 16 mm, round with one flattened face. The ring measures about 17 mm across at its widest point.

Not currently in stock. I make it to order with another bouton pearl of the same size from my own stock. Made in 18K or 14K gold, in yellow, white, or rose.
