A Keshi pearl hanging from a small circle of diamonds, on a hook that sits close to the lobe. Two pairs exist, matched from the same size of pearl but not in colour. One is white, the other carries a soft pink overtone. Choose the pair above.

The pearls are 16 x 14 mm in both pairs.

Keshi pearls grow without a nucleus, which is why the surface folds and lifts instead of running smooth, and why the light inside them moves rather than sits. It also means no two are alike, so each pair here was matched by hand from my own stock for size, shape, and overtone.

Because a Keshi pearl has no regular crown, the cap that meets it is carved in wax directly against that pearl and follows its ridges, so it sits without a gap. That part cannot be repeated exactly on another stone.

Above the pearl, a fine circle of gold is set with white diamonds around its full circumference, 24 stones per pair, 0.12 CT in total. The circle is left open at the centre so light passes through it and it does not read as a solid disc.

Each earring measures 23 mm overall. Made in 14K yellow gold with a hook fitting. Both pairs are in stock, one of each.

18K white and rose gold are available to order, as is a post and butterfly fitting instead of the hook if you prefer a stud.
