The same gold loop as the Rise pendant, carrying a large white baroque pearl instead of a drop. At 26 x 20 mm, the pearl is more than twice the volume, with the folded, irregular surface that only baroque pearls have, and it changes the whole balance of the piece.

The pearl comes off. A gold wire runs up the back of the loop, following its outline so it stays hidden, and ends in a small loop at the bottom that holds the pearl under tension. Firm enough that it will not slip out on its own, and released when you want it to. Wear it with the pearl, or take the pearl off and wear the gold loop alone.

Because a baroque pearl has no regular top, it needs a cap made for it rather than a standard finding. I carve that cap in wax directly against this pearl, so it follows the ridges of its crown and sits without a gap. It is the only part of the piece that could not be repeated exactly.

The loop is carved in wax and cast in one piece, with a fine brushed texture across the outer surface and polished edges. The pendant alone measures 38 mm, and the chain is 42 cm.

The same pendant is also made with a white drop pearl, and both fit this mechanism, so one can be exchanged for the other.
