The basket star spends the day curled into a tight knot on the reef. At night it climbs to a high point and opens its branching arms into the current, a wide net of fine lines that catches whatever drifts by.

The necklace is a fine chain with three hollow nuggets of gold spaced along it, a larger one resting at the center and a smaller one on each side, brushed so the surface stays soft and matte. A single 0.01 carat diamond is set in the center nugget, the only point of light along the chain.

At 46 cm it sits just below the collarbone, light enough to wear every day and to layer with other chains, including the longer Anemone.
