Ocean Bloom is a single line of gold that opens around the finger and ends in a pearl at each tip. The band is 1.5 mm, brushed, and its two ends pass each other so the ring spans about 15 mm across the finger.

The pearls are freshwater keshi, pearls that form without a bead at their center, which is why no two come out the same shape. Every ring is made with its own pair, chosen with you from the pearls we keep in the studio, from about 8 to 16 mm. The pair in the photograph is one of many, and yours will have a shape of its own.

The ring can also grow later. Gold caps can be sculpted in wax around each of your pearls and added to the ring, so the pearls sit in the gold rather than on it. This is how the Hedva Pearl Ring began. Adding caps to an Ocean Bloom ring starts at 1,300 USD in 14K and 1,500 USD in 18K, depending on the size of the pearls and the final weight of the gold.

The ring pictured belongs to Hedva, photographed before her caps were added, and is not for sale. Every Ocean Bloom is made to order.

A note on the finish: every piece is first polished to a full shine, where any casting pore or imperfection shows. Only when the gold is clean is a matte finish applied, where the design calls for one. Many makers use a matte finish to hide flaws, so I do the opposite. A matte finish is available on request at no extra cost.

Part of Deep Blue, a collection built from what the sea leaves behind. Solid gold, textured rather than polished, hollow where the shell would be hollow, made by hand in our Jerusalem studio.
