Four gold studs, each carved in wax as its own form. Wear them as they are, and later add a pearl or a stone below them if you want to. Choose the shape above.

Each stud has a small loop at its lower edge, the same size on all of them. A drop hangs from that loop and lifts off when you want it to. Drops are sold separately, and any one fits any stud, so a single pair of studs can carry a different earring every time you wear it.

All four are carved in wax and cast in one piece. In yellow and rose gold they are given a fine brushed texture across the whole outer surface, which is what makes them work on their own; polished gold at this size reads as a plain shape, while brushed gold holds the light and gives the form somewhere to go. In white gold they are finished highly polished instead, because the rhodium plating that white gold needs fills a brushed texture and flattens it.

Leaf. A wide sculpted leaf that sits along the lobe, 17 x 15.5 mm. The largest of the four and the one that reads clearly from across a room.

Curve. A tapering drop that follows the line of the lobe and lifts away at the tip, 16 x 15.5 mm.

Spear. A narrow marquise, pointed at both ends, 14 x 7 mm. The quietest of the four, and the easiest to wear every day.

Kite. A faceted diamond shape with a ridge running through its centre, 17 x 10 mm. The most graphic of the four.

Made in 18K or 14K gold, in yellow, white or rose.
