Two round freshwater pearls, 7 to 8 mm, at the ends of a band that opens wide around the finger. The gap is the point: the pearls come to rest against the fingers on either side rather than beside each other, so the ring takes up more of the hand than its weight suggests.

It is the same idea as the Haumea ring, opened further. On Haumea the two pearls almost touch. Here they sit apart, like two moons at either end of an orbit.

Choose them in white or in multi-color. Multi-color means a pair in different shades, pink and purple, and which shades are available changes with what the studio has at the time.

Each pearl is fixed directly to the gold. The band is 1.5 mm, brushed on the outside and polished on the inside, and because it is open it can be adjusted by up to two sizes.

One ring is finished and in the studio now, in 18K yellow gold with multi-color pearls. Every other pearl and gold is made to order.
