Made to order. This pair was designed for one woman, around her birthstone.

A husband came to me because his wife had lost one of a pair she loved. He wanted a replacement. I suggested we make something else instead, built around the pomegranate, which she had always been drawn to.

Each earring is a pomegranate in solid 18K gold, hollow so light passes through the body and comes back out through the ruby. They hang from hooks and turn on their own axis as she moves. The ruby at the base of each one weighs 0.70 carat, 1.40 carats for the pair.

The Shema Yisrael runs around the body of each pomegranate, engraved by hand, continuing all the way around until the line closes. Where the last letter meets the first, I set her birthstone: a green peridot, the one detail in the pair that belongs only to her.

That is the part I can make yours. The pomegranate, the engraving, and the gold carry over. The stone at the end of the line is chosen for the person wearing it, and the text can change too if there is something else you want written.

- Yellow gold only. Rhodium plating fills fine engraving, so white gold would flatten the texture this piece depends on
