Every pearl is strung by hand with a knot tied between each one. It is slow work and most bracelets skip it. The reason to do it is that if the thread ever breaks you lose one pearl instead of all of them, and the knots keep the pearls from grinding against each other.

The clasp is my own. It has no moving parts, no spring and no catch. Two interlocking halves pass through one another, but only when they are held at right angles, and the weight of the bracelet on your wrist holds them in line so that never happens by accident. Most makers hide the clasp behind the wrist. Mine is set with stones and sits wherever you want it to.

At the centre sits a gold hamsa, 20 x 15 mm, holding a bezel set blue sapphire of 0.40 carat.

Pearls grow rather than get made, so every one on this bracelet is a slightly different shape and colour, and yours will not be identical to the one photographed. That is what tells you they are real.

Keep it out of water and take it off before anything strenuous. Pearls are softer than stone.
