Two of these stones are left. When they are set, this piece ends.

I cut and polish each sapphire myself, by hand, into the shape of a Star of David. Six points, twelve edges, all of them faceted, in a stone that does not forgive a wrong angle. It is slow, and the rough decides how large the finished star can be, so no two come out the same size.

The one photographed weighs 7.96 carat. The gold is built in three decorated layers, each one sitting slightly behind the one in front, so the pendant has real depth rather than a flat face with a stone on it. The star sits in the middle, and the light reaches it from both sides.
