An arc of 14K yellow gold, brushed, with a raw black diamond of 3.50 carats set into the curve. The chain is welded straight into the arc at both ends, with no jump rings and no clasp hardware between them. Length is 45 cm, and the arc is 46 mm at its widest point.

I shape the arc by hand. A profile of gold is filed down to a tapered edge with needle files, then bent into its curve. The diamond sits in the gap I leave for it, drilled straight through, in its natural rough form.

The diamond changes from piece to piece, since each one comes from my own stock of rough stones. The one in the photographs is a 3.50 carat black diamond. Its weight and colour are what set the price.

This piece is ready now in 14K yellow gold, brushed. I also make it in 18K, and in white or rose gold. Write to me and I will show you what I have.

White gold is plated with rhodium. Yellow and rose gold need nothing.

The name comes from the shape, like most of the pieces in this collection. Crescent is the arc the moon leaves in the sky.
