A drop-shaped Soufflé baroque pearl of 42 x 26 mm, held on a band of
18K yellow gold that widens to 26 mm to meet it. Soufflé pearls form
when the nucleus dissolves and leaves a hollow shell, which is why a
pearl at this scale can sit on the hand without weight. The gold follows
the pearl's contour rather than clasping it, so the two read as one form.
