of 18K yellow gold, so light passes through the stone rather than
stopping at a backing. The earrings run 47 mm in length with a 30 mm
drop and 13 mm across. The back mechanism releases, so the drop comes
away and the earrings are worn as studs, and the stone itself can be
exchanged for a pearl or another gemstone.
