Product Care
Care Instructions
To ensure that your LAYANI jewelry maintains its beauty for years to come, we recommend following the care guidelines below. Please note that we do not accept responsibility for damage caused by improper care.
Pearl Care
Our pearls are cultured, high-quality gems sourced from seawater and freshwater shells. As they are more fragile (2.5 – 4.5 on the Mohs scale) than other gemstones, please observe the following recommendations:
- Avoid contact with perfume, makeup, and lotions after wearing your pearl jewelry.
- Use the soft cloth provided to gently polish your pearls after each wear.
- Do not clean pearls with harsh chemicals like ammonia or detergent.
- Avoid ultrasonic cleaners and abrasive brushes.
- Store pearls in their original jewelry box, away from other jewelry.
Diamond Care
Diamonds are the hardest known material (10 on Mohs' scale), but they are still susceptible to damage:
- Do not store diamonds with other jewelry to avoid scratches.
- Avoid using abrasive brushes when cleaning diamonds.
Gold Care
LAYANI uses 18 Karat gold in all our jewelry, which consists of 75% gold alloyed with other metals for durability. Pure gold (24 Karat) is too soft for everyday wear.
- Avoid cleaning gold jewelry with chlorine or harsh chemicals.
- Store gold jewelry in soft fabric pouches or the original box when not in use to protect it from damage.
Semi-Precious and Precious Gemstone Care
We use high-quality natural gemstones in our designs. Each stone is unique, with varying strength and properties:
- Store gemstones separately to prevent harder gems from scratching softer ones.
- Do not store gemstones with gold jewelry to prevent scratches on the gold finish.
