Product Details
Sonia's ring is one piece, built to look like three.
A channel of twelve princess-cut diamonds runs down the centre, with thirty-two round diamonds pavé set along both sides. Forty-four natural stones in all.
How it was made
The two outer rails were cast separately, in an alloy I mixed myself from fine gold and palladium. Palladium is what gives white gold its flexibility, and there is a right proportion for it. That is the professional way to do this and it is not the cheap way.
Then I drilled parallel holes through both rails and threaded gold tubes between them. The tubes hold the rails at a fixed distance from each other, set to the exact width of a princess diamond.
That is the whole engineering problem of this ring. A channel of square stones only works if the gap is identical along its entire length. A fraction too wide and a stone rocks in its seat. A fraction too narrow and it will not go in. The tubes make that distance mechanical rather than a matter of eye and hand.
Everything after that is setting: the princess stones into the channel, and the pavé along both rails.
Handmade in my Jerusalem studio in 18K white gold.

Shipping
Every order leaves my Jerusalem studio by FedEx or DHL Express, insured and signed for, door to door. There are no exceptions to this.
How long a piece takes to leave the studio depends on what it is:
- In stock: within 3 business days
- Made to order: about two weeks
- One of a Kind and commissions: agreed with you before work begins
Once a parcel is collected it usually goes on a flight the same day, and reaches most destinations within 1 to 3 days. Customs processing can add time, and that part is outside my control.
Duties and Taxes
Orders shipped outside Israel may be subject to local VAT and import duties. These are set by your own country and are your responsibility as the recipient, not mine. They are separate from the price you paid me and are not refundable.
Rates vary from country to country. If the amount matters to your decision, check with your local customs office before you order.
Commissions and Custom Design
Every commission begins with a design fee of $250 USD for each rendering. This pays for the time I spend developing a detailed 3D visualization of your piece, usually several days of work.
The fee covers up to three rounds of revisions on that rendering. Further revisions are $80 USD each, agreed with you in advance.
If you request more than one design direction, each rendering carries its own $250 fee, because each one is a separate piece of work.
When you go ahead with the order, the full amount you paid in design fees is credited against the price of the finished piece. You do not pay twice.
If you decide not to proceed after a rendering is complete, the fee is not refunded. The work has already been done.
The design itself, including every rendering and drawing I produce, remains my work and my property. It is sent to you so you can approve the piece, and it is not licensed for production by anyone else.
Particularly complex models may carry an additional design fee. I will tell you before starting, never after.
Returns, Refunds and Warranty
In short: ready-made pieces from the catalogue can be returned within 14 days, unworn and in their original packaging. Pieces made to order, One of a Kind pieces and commissions cannot, because each one was made for a specific person. Every piece I make is covered against defects in material and workmanship.
The full terms are set out in my return and refund policy, my shipping policy, and sections 5A to 5C of my terms of service. If something is wrong with your order, write to me before anything else. I would rather fix it than have you keep a piece you are unhappy with.
