On quiet weekend mornings I walk the shore with my children, tracing what the waves left overnight and collecting shells. Deep Blue began there.
The pieces take their forms from what actually lives in the water. A starfish, a sea urchin, a pufferfish, a cleaner wrasse. The gold is textured rather than polished smooth, worked to hold the granular surface of a shell or the spines of an urchin, and set with sapphires, rubies, and natural pearls.
Everything here is made by hand in my Jerusalem studio, in solid 18K gold.
